Set Up Business Policies
To set up your standard deposit collected and your cancellation policy, head to the tab "Policies" in the Business Settings page.
Deposit
Select your standard deposits collected. Choose from a percentage of the trip cost, or a fixed cost, for example: $100 per trip.
Vally allows for custom deposits in the ‘Create an Invoice’ function. The deposit and policy set here will be utilized for online bookings.
Cancellation Policy
Enter a clear and complete cancellation policy for your customers. Below is a sample policy we recommend to partners:
All bookings are weather permitting and will be up to the business’ discretion if the trip needs to be rescheduled. All bookings require a 50% deposit to secure the date. This deposit is non-refundable once within 14 days of the booking date. Requests to change a trip date are subject to availability and may not always be accommodated. Any cancellations by the customer within 24 hours of the booking date will result in a charge of the full balance of the trip.
Many of our partners do not often charge the full balance if a client has to cancel within 24 hours, but it is always a good idea to have this in writing that your customers agree to. Family emergencies and other understandable issues happen with clients, but having this protection in your policy ensures you can collect your full balance due on the day of the trip even in the instance of bad apples canceling or no-showing at the last minute.
